Clone Your Own Voice, More Voices & a Fresh Look

Ever found the perfect character, but wished you could give them a voice of your own? Now you can. This update lets you clone your own voice, brings more voices to explore, and gives Deskie a fresh look.

🎤 Give Your Character Your Own Voice

You're no longer limited to picking a voice from the library. Upload a recording and create a custom voice for your character to speak with.

Open the character editor, go to Voice, and switch to Custom. Upload a clear recording of 10 seconds to 5 minutes, confirm that it's your voice or one you have permission to use, then create it. Creating a custom voice costs 2,000 Moe Points.

Once it's ready, you can listen to a sample, give it a name, and select it for your character. Your saved custom voices are available when choosing a voice for other characters in the same language, too.

For the best result, use a recording of one person speaking clearly, without background music or much noise. Try to record in the language your character will speak.

A familiar voice, a character you've made yourself, and a conversation that's entirely your own. We're excited to see what you put together!

The voice library has been growing too, with more choices to help you find the right sound for your character. From a soft-spoken companion to someone lively and expressive, there's more to try before you settle on a favorite.

Listen to samples in the character editor and star the voices you like. Prefer to start with a ready-made voice rather than clone one? The library is still there for you.

✨ A Fresh Look Around Deskie

We've refreshed the interface across browsing, chat, history, settings, and the character editor. Character cards, buttons, menus, and dialogs now share a more consistent look, with updated colors and spacing throughout.

Whether you're looking for someone new to chat with, revisiting an old conversation, or putting the finishing touches on your own character, things should feel a little more at home together.

Your characters and conversations are still yours. This is a fresh coat of paint, not a fresh start.

💬 Let Your Companion Check In at Your Pace

Some days you want a chatty desktop buddy. Other days, a quiet presence is just right.

In the desktop app, Proactive messages now lets you choose Occasional, Balanced, or Frequent check-ins, or turn them off entirely. Open your account settings and look under Character to pick the pace that suits you.

Your companion also gives you more breathing room when you haven't replied: follow-up check-ins slow down, then pause until you join the conversation again. No pressure to drop what you're doing.

🌍 Feel at Home in Your Language

Deskie supports Japanese, Russian, Korean, and Spanish, alongside English and Chinese.

Switch the language in settings to explore the interface in the language you're most comfortable with. Whether you're here to meet a character or make your own, we'd like Deskie to feel a little more like home.

We've also added a little everyday polish for smoother chats, voice playback, and character loading. Enjoy your time together!
